New Albany, Indiana / Founder-led website design
Web design in New Albany, Indiana.
I’m Jalil, the founder and builder at mu works in New Albany. I design custom websites for established businesses and organizations, with clear writing, practical content decisions, and a handoff planned around the people who will use the site after launch.
Custom website builds from $3,500. Monthly care is separate. Full pricing and scope.
New Albany client work / The Domino Affect
A local organization.
A site its team can run.
The Domino Affect is a New Albany violence-prevention nonprofit. I delivered its brand system, public website, content tools, admin portal, and recorded training.
The public site separates its program areas and connects giving to its Givebutter destination. The content tools and handoff let the team keep its own public story current.

Plan the website.
Plan who keeps it current.
A finished page is only part of the job. I help you decide what belongs on the website, which details customers need first, and who will be responsible for updates after launch.
- Build from the real business
- I turn your services, source material, and customer questions into agreed pages with custom design and mobile layouts. Copy is included for those pages. Original photography or short video is planned separately unless explicitly bundled.
- Choose how updates happen
- Some businesses want me to handle agreed content changes through website management. Others need content tools and a staff handoff, as The Domino Affect did. I confirm those responsibilities and any additional development in the proposal.
- Keep ownership clear
- You own your domain and code. I manage the agreed hosting and care, and I confirm account access, third-party tools, update scope, and handoff arrangements before booking. A content system is selected for the work it needs to support.
Working locally
Based in New Albany.
Built around your work.
New Albany is my base. I serve businesses here, across Southern Indiana, and in Louisville. You work with the person designing and building the site, from the first review through launch and care.
For a business with a physical location, I make visit and contact details easy to find. For a service business, I clarify where it works and what to send with an inquiry. I use your verified business details rather than assuming a storefront, address, or service radius.

From your material.
To a working handoff.
The pages, responsibilities, and schedule are agreed before the build begins.
Gather and organize
I review the existing site, business details, brand material, and the questions customers ask. I work with you to define the pages, source material, and the person responsible for approving content.
Design for the people using it
You review the writing and visual direction before the build moves forward. I also plan the update path: what your team should manage, what I will maintain, and any tools that need separate scope.
Launch with responsibilities clear
I check the site and contact path on desktop and mobile. Before launch, I confirm the agreed care and access arrangements. If staff-managed content is included, its handoff is part of the planned delivery.
Before you get in touch
Practical questions.
Start with what your business needs the website to explain and do.
Who will design and build my website?
I will. I’m Jalil Hay, founder of Mu Works LLC, based in New Albany. You speak with me about the direction, scope, and care instead of handing the project from one contact to another.
Can my team update the site itself?
Yes, when that is part of the agreed scope. The Domino Affect project includes content tools, an admin portal, and recorded training. I review what your team needs to change and confirm the tools and handoff before including them in your proposal.
Do I need a new brand before starting?
Bring what you have. I review the existing identity and material with you, then recommend what the website needs. Additional brand work is defined in the scope; it is not assumed to be included in every website build.
Can you help with a New Albany nonprofit website?
Yes. I have published work for The Domino Affect in New Albany. I plan programs, donation paths, and content ownership with the organization, while keeping giving with the appropriate provider.
How are website care and new features handled?
Managed Website is $150 per month for hosting, security, maintenance, monitoring, and agreed content updates. Your proposal defines the update allowance. New pages, larger additions, and connected operational systems outside that scope are quoted separately.
For complete investment, scope, schedule, and ownership answers, see the website engagement questions.
What should your New Albany website do?
Tell me about your business, current site, and who will keep its content current. I will review the starting point and discuss the right scope with you.
