What Google seesFree website check
See your website the way Google first sees it.
Google first reads the plain page your server sends, before any of your site’s code runs. Many other search tools, AI assistants, and link previews only ever read that page. This check shows you what is in it, and what to fix first.
Your report
Google can rewrite titles and descriptions, and often does when they are missing, vague, or placeholder text.

What the check reads
The page before
the page.
Your site can look finished in a browser and still send search engines a blank or placeholder page. These are the parts the check reads.
- Your listing
- The title and description your homepage gives Google for the search results. Google can rewrite them, but it starts with these.
- The first look
- How many words, headlines, and links arrive in the HTML before any code runs.
- Your page list
- Your robots.txt file and sitemap, which tell search engines what to read and what to skip.
- Up to eight pages
- Your homepage and up to seven more pages it links to or lists in its sitemap, checked for placeholder text, repeated titles, and missing basics.
- What it skips
- Rankings, speed, reviews, and your Google Business Profile. This is an automated first look, not a full audit.
The check doesn’t save the address you enter or your results. A copied link carries the address after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server, and runs the check fresh for whoever opens it. Privacy
